I love to make money!

You know me, I'm always looking for ways to make money. Whether it's blogging, or subbing, or selling my hot body on the streets. Just joking on the last part.

One of the greatest ways to make money is in retail! CTS Wholesalers is looking for people who want to make money selling sunglasses! You can sell them at carnivals, festivals, online, flea markets, or at the mall.

They currently offer a new line of sunglasses and they start at $10/dozen. With prices like that you are bound to make some serious cash!

I must admit - I love the idea of wearing sunglasses and if I actually wore them I’d want to purchase them from Wholesale Sunglasses! They offer a great selection and better yet - great prices!

They also offer clip-ons for people who wear glasses and like the “clip-on” feel! (Margot)

Their wide variety of Wholesale Designer Sunglasses is amazing and they have great brands that look exactly like the designers like: Gucci, Fendi, Calvin Klein, New Buckle Design, Christian Dior, Armani, Bolle, Coach, Diesel, DKNY, and Versace.

They also offer Wholesale Sports Sunglasses. They offer sunglass look-alikes from brands like: Adidas, Nike, Anarchy and Revo.

At the price they are selling their glasses - I can actually afford to get a couple of pairs and stashing them everywhere. Not to mention, it’s an easy sell. People everywhere wear sunglasses to protect their eyes and with these great shades they sell themselves!

Makin' the move?

Boston has been a real estate hot spot for years. They have great food, tons to do, an all around "Great American town!"

When looking to move to Boston it's important to go with the professionals that have sold tons of houses and are the professionals in the area. South Boston Real Estate is extremely competitive and Seaport Real Estate is the perfect organization to help you find the best house for you and your family!

Check out the Seaport Real Estate website. They have information on buying and selling a home. You can also view Open Houses and MLS Listings in the Boston area.

Ready for vacation!

Our vacation to Cancun, Mexico is just around the corner and I couldn't be more excited! Of course, we're going to try one more time to get pregnant before we go. But it's almost perfect timing because I figure that will keep us pretty busy over the next month or so and the time will fly and before I know it it'll be time to board the plane.

Pregnant or not!

Today's job.

Today I'll be subbing technology at the local high school. I don't mind subbing and most of the time it's the easiest money out there.

Of course, I'm hoping and praying that I don't have to teach auto mechanics again! God knows, I can't even change my own oil so I'd more than likely not be able to teach these guys anything new in that area!!

My good ole' Jeep!

When I was in my early 20's I bought a Jeep Wrangler. It was a really fun car but was breaking every 5,000 miles. I had to replace the tire rods, the stick shift, and the wheel bearings.

Thank God it was still during it's 35,000 warranty period!

We were fortunate to never have to replace the jeep radiator. Because that might have been the straw that broke the camel's back!

Radiator.com offers over 150,000 parts at really great prices! They also deliver worldwide and are the industry leader for automobile radiators.

Here's hoping that my current Honda CRV doesn't need a radiator in the near future. We're up to 125,000 miles and tickin'!

Not just in Ithaca!

But all over the world - people are starting to save energy and move to solar power!

We live in very liberal area and everyone here is really eco-friendly. When I lived in Texas I had never heard of recycling! Here we recycle just about everything from cans to paper products!

One idea that has been growing among home owners is using solar energy. Just from viewing the houses in our area that have solar panels I'd have to say that about 10% of the houses have panels on top of their roofs, in the back yard, or close by.

Considering the every rising cost of fuel and electricity - it just makes sense. Not to mention, you're using a renewable resource instead of robbing the earth and preventing polution in the process.

If we had the money to invest in updating our house and saving energy we'd do it in a heart beat. OceanFan.com offers some great solutions for people who are looking to make an environmental change and to move to solar panels and ceiling fans.

OceanFan.com has a great website and you can read about the features and benefits of solar energy and power. You can also view their products and shop online or contact customer service using their online form.

Solar energy is the new and modern way that people are starting to run their households. Our precious earth's resources are dwindling and it's everyone's responsibility to ensure that it's around for our children and grandchildren.

Insurance

So I have a couple of options at this point. I'm so pissed at BCBS of Mass I could spit and I don't want to continue to spend $375/month for crappy insurance that isn't even going to pay my bills!

We're trying to get me on Margot's insurance but you have to be "married" so we've actually been talking about making a trip out to Canada to get hitched.

Gotta love these shot gun weddings?

Blogging money and taxes.

I've really got to look into how to take taxes out of the money that I'm making on my blogs. Last year I was penalized because I didn't pay the taxes as I went and one of my jobs didn't take any NYS taxes out. So, not only do I owe like $800 on taxes but also a penalty!

Maybe what I should do is each week just set aside $100 or so for taxes and then the money that I don't use for taxes can go into the vacation fund?

Pretty quiet.

The past few days have been pretty quiet on the business front. Of course, I've also been pretty sick so I haven't been doing much of anything except trying to get better.

I had to call in this morning for subbing because I really didn't want to get the kids sick.

Go to the top...

of the search engine list! Have you ever tried to look up something and just can't seem to locate it. That's because it's not at the top of a search engine list! Search Engine Ranking is the way that websites appear on search engines.

Many times the lists come back in order or page rank or alphabetically. CustomMagnetism specializes in making sure that your website is going to get as much publicity as possible through their team of marketing professionals.

They look at the service and product that you offer and work on promoting it in front of a viewing audience.

Go to the professionals when promoting your online website. If you're going to invest in a website -- make sure that you have exposure!

Point of sale systems.

Years ago I was the accountant for CBORD. They offer point of sales systems and software for business, hospitals, and other settings. It was amazing how expensive systems and hardware was and equally shocking at how much these organizations would pay for their monthly software fees.

Many retail pos systems run in the thousands and that's just the beginning! I really like the thought behind VisonPOS systems. They reuse systems and refurbish. Not only is this a great idea because good machines don't go to waste -- but it's also environmentally responsible!

We constantly believe in recycling and just a few weeks ago I had to drop off some trash at the dumpster and you wouldn't believe how many computer screens and hard drives I saw in a pile at the dumpster.

I applaud any company that's willing to offer their consumers a great product - but also are trying to be ecologically responsible!

Project me!

In the past we've always purchased projectors for work. It seems like it's been the best idea and option for us - til now.

Now there's a new option - projector rentals!

Not only can you get the newest and up-to-date technology - but you don't have to make the initial huge investment of a projector that you might use a few times.

It seems like a win win situation.

Projector123.com offers some great options and you can even view which projector you would like to rent. They can mail it out Fed-Ex and all over the United States.

The website is easy to use and you can even order the projector online.

THis might actually be a great option for our get togethers when we want to watch movies! We've done it before at our friend Jen's and we all lay on the floor and watch crappy movies!

Check me out!

CTS Wholesalers is looking for people who want to make money selling sunglasses! The sunglasses start at $10 a pair and up and they offer over 300 different styles. You can sell them at carnivals, festivals, online, flea markets, or at the mall.

I’m not a big sunglasses fan. Mainly because I just forget! I forget where I put the sunglasses and then when I have them in a nice safe place I forget to put them on my face!

Margot on the other hand - has the oh-so-fashionable clip-ons. The good thing is over the years she no longer wears her purple croakies!

I must admit - I love the idea of wearing sunglasses and if I actually wore them I’d want to purchase them from Wholesale Sunglasses! They offer a great selection and better yet - great prices!

They also offer clip-ons for people who wear glasses and like the “clip-on” feel! (Margot)

Finally

a website that's not just out to make a buck and actually has a goal with the community in mind!

When I was younger I used to volunteer at the local soup kitchens and homeless shelters. It was amazing some of the things I saw. I remember holding a 2 week old baby in my arms, without a diaper, and so hungry that he ate 3 huge formula bottles. He obviously had not been cared for and at the age of 14 all I wanted to do was to take this baby home with me and raise him in a loved environment.

When I see an organization doing something for charity or trying to make the world a better place — I try to show my support!

AutoCity101.com offers used cars for sale. Their website is easy to use and navigate through and you can search a large database of great, used automobiles available by owner. The best part of the website - they are using the funds raised from the website to support orphanages in Mexico.

What a worthy cause worth supporting and it reminds me of the little baby that I held many years back that needed the same support…

Show me the money.

The whole idea of starting my own business was to make enough revenue for me to stay home with the baby and work flexible hours. Of course, it never quite panned out that way! It's hard starting a new business and only being able to do it Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am - 5pm!

So I've been looking at ways to make money and I stumbled across "The Secret". "The Secret" is promoted by some of Americas greatest people including: Oprah Winfrey and Larry King. It was noted as Amazon's #1 book and DVD within months of it's release.

There are some great ideas in the book and DVD and it's a powerful message to anyone starting out in life and business.

People walk away motivated and really ready to change they way they see the world!

Now "The Secret" offers a seminar and affiliate program for those looking to become wealthy! It's a "How-To" program for anyone interested in a step-by-step walkthrough of how to make money and be successful!

"The Secret Science of Getting Rich" is now available and for the investing price of $1,995 you can know all of the greatest secrets of some of the worlds most successful and wealthiest people alive!

Don't let this moment pass you by. It's worth the initial investment and could change your life for the better!

On the road again...

Today I went to Syracuse for a doctor's appointment and ran errands in Cortland and Ithaca.

To say the least -- I'm beat! I've been up since 3:30am working on my appeal for the insurance claim.

Now, I'm going to take a nap!

Oh to be a sub!

I subbed yesterday and I actually had a really good time. I was warned about the kids prior to starting. I was even told that one of the kids had just come back from prison. Didn't scare me in the least and I figured that I went to high school with criminals!

The kids were actually really well behaved and very friendly.

There was a pregnant 10th grader in one of my classes. I asked her when she was due and she "said tomorrow." It made me incredibly sad to know that this poor girl is going to be a mother. She was a hard working student and one of the very few who actually worked the whole period and answered questions when asked.

No call back.

I ended up getting ahold of the family that called Friday when I was teaching. They were looking for help with transporting mom to Virginia. It sounded like they needed a wheelchair van and maybe even an aid to go with them.

The family was really nice and I ended up speaking with the daughter in law with the son in the background. What they've decided to do is rent a wheelchair accessible van, dope mom up on narcotics, and transport her to Virginia.

I think it's going to be a taxing trip for mom though and I'm not sure that the local doctor's even know that she's going! They might even advise against it since she's in so much pain.

The dilemma of course is that the elderly woman is a very healthy 92 years old and has a really good genes that would allow her to live many more years! Many doctors shy away from operating on someone so old. However, this poor lady is in tons of pain.

My advise was to seek recommedations in town and even at local hospitals such as Strong in Rochester or some of the bigger hospitals in Syracuse.

Our friends...

When our friends Alex and Dominic moved to the United States from London they had tons of stuff! It was an absolute nightmare for them to get everything together and to ship it across the world! They ended up flying over with some of it and then shipping the rest.

They should have hired International Movers
