Big Business...

So I've been out of work for over a year now and at this point I'm really looking for something that will allow me to work from home and have fairly flexible hours.    I don't want to put Keane in daycare because I love being home wiht him, but also, I don't want someone else raising my child.

I also have a hard time spending money on daycare because it's so expensive in our area.    My old boss from M has emailed a few times asking if I'd like my old job back.   The good thing is that I think when I'm ready to go back to work --- I'll be able to negotiate a higher salary!

To sue...

These are the days of litigation. If something goes wrong whether intentional or not...people get sued.

However, after reading about the Crestor lawsuit I can see why people are mad and want to get their "fair due".

AstraZeneca produced a drug used for heart disease and high cholesterol and many many people came down with kidney failure! You look at the stocks of these companies and they're making millions and billions on the consumer. They do whatever they can to push through their medications and then when things go wrong they don't want to take responsibility.

Over the past few days I have received two different notices in the mail for class action lawsuits that I could be involved in. I don't even remember purchasing these toys and I figure since no harm was done to me or my family ... that I'm not going to sign up.

However, if we were ever injured or hurt... All bets are off.

Retired!

So Wednesday was my last working day! I finished up all of my computer work yesterday and I'm happy to say that over the next two years I'm going to stay home with kids! It's been good to work. I was able to actually find a job that I liked and appreciated.

However, with three kids at home..I can just imagine that it's going to be a much harder job than any corporate job I can hold!

Just this morning...

I was watching television and a commercial came on for Topamax lawsuit. Supposedly, this medication was prescribed to many children and adults and the effects were unknown early. After years of useage they discovered that it had bad side effects that caused many people to become very sick.

One of my friends went to: O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath – Personal Injury Lawyers – 808 West Avenue, Austin, TX. 78701 – 512-494-9949

They had great results and really liked the personal care that they received with their case. They were dealing with personal injury from a car accident and were very happy with the results.

After dealing with the insurance companies for months they were getting absolutely nowhever. When they called the office my friend was happy that they took over EVERYTHING. They didn't have to worry about the stack of bills or contact with the insurance and their threatening attorneys.

Kitchen down.

So our kitchen is in parts now. It's really a mess. WE've been trying to find friends who will cook for us! Eating out can really cost a lot and we're trying to put all of the money into the kitchen instead of giving it away to the local restaurants.

Tonight we're doing leftovers and tomorrow night we're going over to L&Ls for dinner. Monday we have plans at J&T's.

Anyone else want to have us over for dinner?

Not much longer...

I'm planning on quitting my job. Soon. I don't know if I'm going to make it through the summer to be honest. Work has been kicking my ass and I'm trying to keep up but with the heat outside - I also don't want to over do it.

The good thing is that we found a new place for Emmy to go to daycare. It's actually a little preschool that's 5 days a week for a few hours. It should be perfect when the new baby gets here.

Always thinking....

MONEY.

Now that we have another baby on the way I have really been thinking of ways to bring in more money! Right now work is slow and I am going to have quite a bit of downtime this week.

I came across some information on Springfield beauty school and it has really peaked my interest!

Good hairstylists in this town have a strong following and make tons of money! Our hairstylist has almost doubled her fees in the past five years and everytime we go we secretly complain about her prices --- but we love her so much and she does such a great job we don't want to go anywhere else!

Beep beep.

When we were younger we had motorcycles. We used to drive them everywhere. You wouldn't believe the idiots who drive cars that make driving a motorcycle dangerous! I've had cars come right next to me on a steep intersection and try to turn in front of me.

I have tons of friends from high school and college that live in Austin. If I were still living in Texas more than likely I would live there too. The last time I was in Texas I couldn’t help but see that there is no helmet law!

I think it’s insane but in the same sense I figure - survivial of the fittest?

Since everything in Texas is bigger there’s no shock that it can take you 30+ miles to go to work one way. Maybe people decide to go with a motorcycle due to the great weather and effeciency and affordability.

I’ve heard that finding a good motorcycle accident attorney Austin can be hard to find and my friend mentioned going through - O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath – Personal Injury Lawyers – 808 West Avenue, Austin, TX. 78701 – 512-494-9949.

The next step....

So can I just say that I have no idea what to do about this job. My boss is a super nice guy. I like the work. BUT...the pay isn't great. I get to make my own schedule so that's nice. The reality is that this summer for daycare I will make just enough to cover costs.

My work.

Can I just say that I really like my boss?

He's such a normal guy. I asked for the week off the kids are on spring break AND an additional week off and he was totally cool with it.

I must say it's so nice to work with friendly people.

Go get'em.

When I was working in healthcare the newest trend in lawsuits was to sue the nursing home/assisted living place. To be honest, at many places, there is a lot of death, abuse, and neglect of residents/patients.

Texas wrongful death attorney can really help with your lawsuit. When I lived in Texas there were constantly commercials advertising lawyers and it could be overwhelming which one was the best fit!

The most important part of picking out an attorney is to get one that specializes in your situation. Find out his/her stats. Do your homework. Because in the end it could result in a big payout!

I was shocked to find out that a girl I went to H.S. with is praciting litigation at a firm in Austin. Her brother, who is equally saavy, is practicing as the US Assistant Attorney in Florida.

Filly.

We're going to Philly in a few weeks. We have some cabinets picked out and there are three different cabinet maker warehouses that we want to check out. We found the places online and the cabinets look great but you really can't tell until you feel the cabinets and open and close the doors.

I'm just waiting for a good hotel deal to pop up so that I can get us a nice hotel in the city.

Business is BOOMING.

I'm so tired. This week I've been out with the kids way too much. Snow days and parent teacher conference days have been a total killer to my schedule.

With that said...I have TONS for work and not much time to do it. I'm finishing up some commercial stuff and I'm hoping to have that done by the middle of next week. PLUS, I'm adding a day of Emmy's daycare. So that will help.

I'm so ready to get away....

All I want for Christmas is...

Money!!

One thing that never loses it’s value is a gold! Even when our stocks are floundering you can always look to silver, gold, and precious metals to maintain their value.

I think I might want to buy gold coins before year ends because I'm hoping that stocks will go up with the Christmas holliday projections.

US Gold Bureau offers gold and other precious metals for delivery or they will make arrangements to have your metals stored privately and securely at a bank or depository.

I didn’t realize this but US Gold Bureau is an industry leader. They sell silver in two forms: coin or ingot. We all know what the coins look like, but the ignots are pure bullion cast in a convenient size and shape. I can only imagine they look like the blocks that are in most cartoons!

The world demand now exceeds the supply demand for gold - which makes it a pretty smart investment.

Our friends...

I'm not sure I talk about our friends a whole lot because most of them are pretty private people and typically I can't bring up their names. So a post with a lot of L's and J's and A's don't make a damn bit of sense to people and typically confuses me too!

But I just have to say that I am so fortunate for our close friends. Sometimes I feel like I don't have a family because my grandma lives so far away and we are somewhat distant. My cousin lives far away and she's busy raising her kids too.

SO it's nice to be able to get together and have time with good friends. I know they love us and our kids and it really means the world to me.

The day of the sickie.

Last night I knew I was coming down with something. My throat hurt and I was asleep on the couch by 9:30pm. This morning I woke up and felt like a truck ran me over. My head was ringing and my throat felt super scratchy. Not to mention my body aches.

Thank god I have a somewhat flexible job that I was able to reschedule my appointment and actually rest on the couch with a cup of hot tea.
