Trying something new!

After the market crashed a few months ago we have been looking for something new to invest our wealth into. We've looked at international markets and they're really unstable.

At this point I'm ready to invest some of my funds into silver. The one thing about gold, silver, and other precious metals is that year after year they offer a consistent investment.

Not to mention, their demand always higher than the supply. Obviously, by using basic laws of economics you can see that this might be a good idea for the future!

Monex is an industry leader with gold, silver, and precious metals. You can buy the metals in many different types of ways and even store them through the provider.

This is a noteworthy investment and a great way to diversify your portfolio. Especially during these unstable market times.

Got childcare?

I'd love to find a part-time job...but I must admit that I'm quite worried about the daycare situation!

We've toured a few places and I'm not overly impressed with either.

It could be that I'm just not ready to go back to work mentally and leave the baby that I worked so hard to have!

Then there's the issue of LOSING money by going back to work. Not only would I have to pay for insurance but I'd also have to pay for daycare which costs an arm and a leg.

A little sun goes a long way!

This weekend was awesome because it was warm and we got to soak up the vitamin D with the sun!

Living in upstate New York you learn to appreciate those sunny days and take advantage.

We spent both yesterday and today outside and I have a great sunburn to show for it.

Gotta love being a white girl.

Need help?

When I worked in healthcare we were constantly looking for ways to make senior's lives easier and safer.

Typically that mean adding devises such as a walker or cane and also making their living space more "user friendly".

One thing that always seemed to help and was really essential was a toilet seat riser.

It allowed for the resident to be able to ease onto the toilet and also the resident wouldn't have to strain as much to stand to the standing position.

Since we live in such an isolated area we didn't have many options and it really depended on what the local pharmacy had in stock.

Allegro Medical has such a great variety of devises online. In fact, it's a one-stop-shop and they also have options for free delivery too!

Nurse or Real Estate Agent?

I keep going back and forth on what to do when I get older...

On one hand I think it'd be great to work in Labor and Delivery and assist ladies with having their babies. I realize it would take work and some additional schooling but I think I'd really enjoy my job.

Then there's the way that I think I'd be able to be the best mom and possibly have the most flexible schedule - real estate.

The classes for real estate can be done online and I think I'd probably do pretty good once I'm up and running since I've been a stellar sales person in the past.

Monster earache.

I have a serious friggin' earache going on. I went in last week and was prescribed antibiotics. It seems like they aren't doing a thing!

Today I looked over and it seems like Emmy has the exact same thing going on because she's tugging on her left ear.

Ugh. NOthing like having a sick kid to start off your week.

Let's just go.

Back in the day we would pack a back pack and decide that Friday morning that we were going on a roadtrip! This was before children or animals.

Now that we have kids we have to plan a little bit better!

We've been looking at great cancun vacations and I think we're ready to make the commitment.

We're leaning towards doing a nice vacation during the Christmas holidays. Margot gets off from work and it's not like we have family to go visit.

Karisma Hotels offers some great resorts. The restaurants are incredible and the hotels offer beautiful settings with top notch customer service.

Sign me up!

I just don't know...

with Emmy being quite the "spirited child" I've been considering options when it comes to going back to work.

At one point I was really leaning towards going back to school for nursing. Binghamton has a good nursing school and just the other day we ran into a girl who graduated from there and said she really enjoyed it. She now works as an ER nurse.

Then there's real estate. The hours are somewhat appealing to me because I can make my own schedule, have my own office hours, and when the economy doesn't suck do pretty good!

*yawn*

I just woke up after 10 hours of sleep and I'm friggin exhausted. Between my black eye that I got at softball and my aching ear I'm a total mess!

At least it's beautiful outside and the sun is out and birds are chirping.

We have a few things on the agenda today. Peter's party is today and also the duck launch at Taughannock.
