Tired of working.

I know I've only been working a few days a week but since I'm so out of it --- it just kicks my butt! Today I did a subbing job and by 3:30pm I was ready for my nap.

This summer is when I really figure that I will have the time to focus on my business and do the marketing. Graem will still be attending daycare and we might even add the St. Paul's Nursery School - Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 - noon.

I won't have subbing jobs --- so I'll have full days to do marketing and outreach and really give my business the time and support that it needs.

Hopefully, by the time fall comes around I can sub only if I don't have consulting to do.

Need more money.

It's been nice hanging out with Margot's family - but one thing is... I wish we had more money! I know money doesn't buy happiness but I would absolutely love to have a bigger and nicer house.

Margot's dad's house is extremely TACKY and just downright yuck. But I love having all the space. I feel like we can spread out and actually enjoy each other's company. Plus, Graem can run around. (Of course she has to wear shoes because there's dog pee and shit on the floor, but that's another story!)

I guess at this point --- we still value the fact that I stay home with Graem and we devote the time for her learning and love rather than getting a nice paycheck.

Maybe when/if both kids go to school I can get back into the workforce and then make the big bucks so that we can buy a bigger house! Of course, that's probably going to be when the kids don't want to stay home with their mothers because it's not cool!

Passing the time...

Today I got a call to substitute at the local middle school and I did it! I made $80 which of course is helpful. Especially since it pays for the kid's daycare for 2 days!

Marketing - yikes!

I've done an absolutely horrible job at marketing the business lately. I just find it so hard to find the time to actually get dressed nice, find a baby sitter, and hit the pavement passing out brochures of making phone calls.

I'm sure this summer I will probably be able to focus on it more when there's daycare but no subbing oppourtunities.

Plus, this snow is horrendous!

Excuses, Excuses?

So tired...

It's only Tuesday and I feel whipped. It could be because Margot's been working so much and I've had Graem more than ever. It could also be because Graem's been acting up so much lately.

I was going to sub tomorrow - but it doesn't appear that there are any jobs. Plus, I have a doctor's appointment with Dr. T that couldn't get moved to a different date.

Plus, my darn car windshield wiper squirter is broken! I think it just froze up this morning and then trying to get the water out I think I burnt out the motor.

It was quite the ride to Syracuse this morning - no windshield wiper juice - snowing - baby crying.

Calgon - take me away. Please?

I have actually thought about subscribing to a service that accepts credit cards. There are so many people out there that don't actually have cash in hand but would like to subscribe to my services.

Taking it easy...

So aside from doing the occassional subbing job here and there I've really just been taking it easy. I've only had one day off of subbing - especially since I'm only available Wednesday and Friday when the little one is in daycare.

As far as marketing for my business - I've got to get back into it. I've totally been slacking and although I have all of the materials - they just need to be dropped off. I've been incredibly inconsistent.

I guess the hard part is that it's nearly impossible to schedule anything because subbing is for money and marketing isn't a gimme yet. But it is laying the groundwork for a successful business.

I'm pretty excited about all of the money we have coming in from PayPerPost. I'm even more excited however, about the chance of getting my three blogs up and approved and actually being able to score some bucks on those websites too!

It's been nice being able to have the blogs to talk about different areas of life.

Of course, this one is the business blog where I talk about my wonderful money making schemes, but the other blogs talk about trying to get pregnant, and then about raising a 2 year old!

I have decided that I'm not going to take a subbing job Wednesday. I'm going to try to combine all of my appointments for that day so that Grammy doesn't have to come with me.
